divisor of two or more polynomials of several variables.
The algorithm for performing the greatest common divisor of
polynomials with several variables may be used to determine an
analytical inverse matrix for a matrix of such polynomials that
intervene in a mathematical modeling of mechanical phenomena.

Towards Clustering from Corpora by Using Pattern Oriented Approaches

Abstract: Clustering from untagged corpora is very important especially for
languages that have no such hierarchies as WordNet. The idea is to combine
automatic noun clustering from unannotated corpora with some supervised
learning methods. This paper presents a study on automatic noun clustering
from texts selected from corpora by using a pattern-oriented filter. The patterns
used are oriented to Romanian language but can be extended also to
other languages. A comparison between results obtained by not applying any
pattern and by applying different patterns (as filters) is also presented.
Databases? Design and Implementation in File Maker for the Cervical

Abstract: The paper presents the design and implementation in File Maker
for the cervical cancer screening databases. The data are collected on paper
form. The interface for the data collection of the database is designed to allow
easy computer entry. Some checks are required in order to validate the data.
The main emphasis is on quality control of the information recorded.
MATHEU: Identification, Motivation and Support of Mathematical Talents

Abstract: In many European schools the mathematics curriculum is designed
to serve the average and special needs students without identifying and supporting
potentially talented/competent students in mathematics. The aim
of this project is to develop methods and educational tools, which will help
the educators to identify and motivate talented students in mathematics as
well as to support their development within the European Community without
any discrimination. The project intends to merge forces and establish a
network through the Mathematical Societies and universities in the European
area to support the aims of the project as well as to use new technologies in
the support, dissemination and sustainability of the developed structure of cooperation.
MATHEU is a new approved project under Socrates-Comenius 2.1
action with characteristic activities that are expected to enhance the learning
of mathematics in the European region as described above. The presentation
will discuss the philosophy, aims and objectives and the work plan of the
project and will invite interested individuals and organizations to support the
aims of the project.
